ANDREW BERGER is the Commercial Loan Manager for the Bronx Economic Development Corporation (BXEDC). A lifelong New Yorker, Andrew is passionate about building an economy that works for all New Yorkers through economic opportunity and community development. Andrew developed and runs BXEDC’s small business loan program, providing business owners access to affordable financing. Through Andrew’s small business loan programs tailored made for the Bronx, BXEDC has disbursed over $1 million in small business loans in 2024.
Before working at BXEDC, Andrew worked in the Finance and Budget Department of the United Nations in New York City. Andrew received his B.A. in Economics and English Literature from University at Buffalo, SUNY and his M.A. in International Affairs from the City College of New York, CUNY. Currently, Andrew is participating in the Coro Leadership New York program.
