In 2024, the BXEDC hosted the first-ever BX Factor competition in Yankee Stadium. The idea of this competition was that five businesses would present their ideas to a panel of judges, who then decided who would receive a $10K prize to put toward those ideas.

The winner was Gomez Design Studio, a small company that builds furniture from scraps of wood and other found materials. The owner, Tiffany, hopes to use the grant money to increase her marketing efforts and get more women and girls involved in the construction/design business!
